French Language Yearlong Transformation of Consciousness Program

The same program as the English language 5 month Program with much more time together – a whole 17 days of retreats – so we can go more deeply into Belief work and do the whole 4 levels of Inner Relationship Focusing (IRF), working on the parts of our psyche that are tangled and enmeshed in pain, stopping our movement forward in the world and inside of ourselves. This is the most in depth program, combining the deep teachings of Non duality with Inquiry, IRF and Wholebody Focusing, the Enneagram, Song and movement, and working with themes such as:

  • Shadow and projection
  • Levels of Development (from the Enneagram)
  • Visioning and Focusing on what I love
  • And all four levels of Inner Relationship Focusing teaching (every level is a 2 day workshop) touching on themes like
    • how our parts function in every day life beyond our awareness
    • Removing blocks to creativity and action of all kinds
    • Reconnecting with our True Nature as an integral part of returning to wholeness, creativity, and aliveness
    • How to deal with Inner voices of criticism, shame, guilt and control
    • Inquiring into resistance and defensiveness

5 month Advanced NVC and Transformation of Consciousness

Gina is the only certified IRF teacher and NVC trainer in North America. She has offered years of both IRF and NVC together and individually to groups and individuals in aiding us to heal and transform our consciousness to enable us to live in the paradigm of collaboration, needs based consciousness and wholeness that NVC invites us to. Working professionally with individuals and groups for over 20 years, she has combined the wisdom teachings of non dual awareness, (she has studied with Adyashanti, Eckhart Tollé, A. H. Almaas, Pema Chödrön and other Buddhist teachers) Investigative Inquiry of all kinds (including Byron Katie’s The Work process) Wholebody and Inner Relationship Focusing, and learning to transition from scarcity, competition, contraction into fullness, freedom and deep meaning. Through  30 years of ongoing vipassana and mindfulness practice, as well as different methods of Bodywork, Parts work, Body Psychotherapy, and different group healing practices,

She also has focused  on her own deep healing of many PTSD symptoms and trauma related illnesses,  and with others who have the tracks of trauma in their psyche’s to release and move forward into life. She believes everyone has a certain level of trauma due to the way we live, interact, educate and treat ourselves and each other in this culture. A lot of her work is a process of unlearning, and of coming to our original nature. She uses the human voice through song, movement, art, and nature reconnection to aid us in stepping fully into our True Nature.

This program goes deeply into the individual healing we all need in order to live collectively in a way that promotes wholeness and unity. Click here for the flyer….

French Language Yearlong Programs in Quebec

Gina has co led  over 35 different year long programs in the last 9 years.   In Québec, in French, with Marcelle Bélanger and Robert Bouchard she has co designed and led 1st year, 2nd and 3rd year programs, all spanning 17 days over a year long period. These programs are designed to fully integrate and share NVC.  Themes for these retreats are:

  • Working with power
  • The Power of  Empathic Presence
  • Embodying Values
  •  Deep Authenticity
  • Inquiring into Belief work
  • Social Transformation

In 2012 we are beginning our 9th year together, working with these very active, passionate and dedicated NVCer’s, inquiring how to make life more wonderful together.  Gina is very grateful for this deep enriching work together, and how it has benefitted her life from all angles.  There are currently 5-7 ongoing Yearlong programs in Québec, and the NVC community here is flourishing and is one of the strongest in the world.   Gina is in the process of certifying those interested in working with the CNVC this year, and there are many others sharing NVC who are not choosing to be on that path at this time. What a deep celebration of life to live in a place where there is so much engagement and involvement in making life more wonderful in this way!

Beannacht (“Blessing”) by John O’Donohue

Beannacht
(“Blessing”)
On the day when
the weight deadens
on your shoulders
and you stumble,
may the clay dance
to balance you.
And when your eyes
freeze behind
the grey window
and the ghost of loss
gets in to you,
may a flock of colours,
indigo, red, green,
and azure blue
come to awaken in you
a meadow of delight.
When the canvas frays
in the currach of thought
and a stain of ocean
blackens beneath you,
may there come across the waters
a path of yellow moonlight
to bring you safely home.
May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
may the clarity of light be yours,
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of the ancestors be yours.
And so may a slow
wind work these words
of love around you,
an invisible cloak
to mind your life.
~ John O’Donohue ~

Circles

I am grateful for the many circle processes I have been deeplyinvolved in during my life – community building circles, peace maker circles, aboriginal circles, singing and dance circles to name a few.  Now, having immersed myself in the Restorative Circles process, I am grateful to be offering two upcoming opportunities for all of us to deepen our understanding and experience of Restorative Circles.  Duke Duchscherer and I will once again be offering our understanding and experience of Dominic Barter’s process of RC.

The Transformation of self and society with Nonviolent Consciousness and Empathy

The Transformation of self and society with Nonviolent Consciousness and Empathy

 Gina Cenciose

The paradigm (or framework in which we place our understanding of reality) we’re currently living in makes assumptions, that most of us consciously and unconsciously live from. Some of these are beliefs in scarcity and lack, that someone needs to lose for us to win, that we have to use coercion, convincing, reason, manipulation or people pleasing to meet our needs and feel happy and fulfilled, for example. . These largely unconscious programs inform every aspect of our lives, and how we are interacting with ourselves, our families & friends, and the larger systems that we are embedded in.

To really transform our selves and society, I believe personal inner work and work towards societal change go hand in hand. If I am learning to embrace and transform my inner wounds, and transforming my thinking into a more life serving one, I naturally have more energy and motivation to contribute that energy to the structures that I live within. If I am looking at myself as disconnected from the whole, with my own unique brand of personal dysfunction instead of looking at the bigger picture of myself as part of the whole and as my individual symptoms as a sign of a much larger societal dysfunction, then I believe I have more inquiry and empathy to discover and experience. My experience is that when I look deeply at my thinking and my actions, I can see where I am still living from the program that I was raised with based on fear, shame and scarcity. When I notice myself justifying my actions or words, when I see myself abandoning my inner integrity to distract myself from suffering, when I see myself drift into my old habits of seeking comfort and security, I now know to inquire deeply into what I am assuming in the moment and feel grateful to move into a closer intimacy with the parts of my experience that I am fencing off.

I feel sad when I fall into thinking there is something wrong with me personally for acting in ways that do not fully honour who I am, instead of connecting to the knowing that I am a product of my civilization, therefore part of the whole.. I want to use my energy to transform my own self of course and that work gives me the energy to want to share my inner freedom with others and the systems we interact with, support and contribute to, everyday. We each have a lot of power to direct our energies towards lasting inner and outer change by transforming our thought systems that are largely based on our societal mass conditioning. In my experience, the support of a group of like- minded individuals or a whole community is a precious asset in going about transforming our automatic responses to responses based on choice and inner wisdom.

In my practice of NVC, I work with core belief inquiry and transformation to help me look at the root cause of my suffering, which is often in my conscious or sub conscious thinking processes, and I have often followed these thoughts down to the roots unconscious assumptions or beliefs. There are different ways to go about this, we can use transformative role-plays to access parts of ourselves that are holding pain in relation to a specific relationship, or event in the past.

What People Are Saying About This Course

Learning the Inner Relationship Focusing process has enhanced my practice of self compassion. The specific steps of the process help me to slow down rather than resist or neutralize uncomfortable feelings. Gina and Shulamit ‘s classes blended learning and experience and they provided generous support materials. I’m very grateful for their guidance and help in developing new skills that support my NVC and inner work.”
